Annie Matan
Dr. Annie Matan is a transport and urban planning policy and research professional working to promote sustainable transport needs within urban communities with a focus on what makes places walkable, and how people interact with the built environment and the human health outcomes of planning decisions. She has a PhD in walkable urban design requirements and theory. She has multi-sector experience, having worked for State and Local Government, Academia and consultancy. Annie is a Transport Policy Analyst at the City of Sydney. Prior to this, she was a Senior Project Officer (Transport), City of Fremantle, Australia, Lecturer and Research Fellow at Curtin University, Australia, and a researcher at Gehl Architects and the West Australian Planning Commission.
