Barbara Garcia

Bárbara Oliveira Garcia dos Santos is a psychologist, with experience in field research, sales, home services and elderly care in Brazil. She provided psychological care for 7 years including social care. In 2018, Barbara joined Associação Alegria em Viver, where she began to provide voluntary social service accompanying groups of pregnant and postpartum women. In 2020, she became part of the Women's Group of Central Única das Favelas (CUFA) as a social entrepreneur, assisting vulnerable families in urban and rural areas. Today, she is the Coordinator of Special Actions at CUFA and manager of a partnership between CUFA and Petrobras that donates cooking gas to low-income families.
