Gregor Mews

Dr Gregor H. Mews, MURP (TU-Berlin), PhD EnvirDes (University of Canberra), MPIA, ISOCARP, is a pracademic teaching and researching in Urban Design and Town Planning at the University of the Sunshine Coast, focusing on the nexus of urban design and health. Previously he was the Executive Director of Urban Synergies Group and is a Co-Founder and Director of the Australian Institute of Play. He serves on boards for City Space Architecture and the Journal of Public Space. He served as an Urban Thinker voice for UN-Habitat’s World Urban Campaign, TEDx speaker and advocates for vulnerable groups transcending Global North and South boundaries and the implementation of the New Urban Agenda. Greg has published 3 books, including “Transforming Public Space through Play”, and multiple publications.
